Rank will be contingent upon the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience. Specific duties include teaching 12-15 credit hours of coursework per year (typically four to five courses, depending on rotation), spread over summer, fall, and spring terms serving as the advisor of record for students in the program managing the program budget supporting the chair and dean in recruiting and evaluating full-time and adjunct program faculty conducting program assessment supporting co-curricular programming led by the microsite director and maintaining currency in the discipline. The program coordinator will work with the department chair, division dean, and other program faculty to deliver, review, assess, and improve the MSLS program.

Additional consideration will be afforded to candidates who have demonstrated facility with behavioral assessment and 360° evaluation tools, have International Coach Federation certification at the Professional Certified Coach level, and/or have experience building or marketing new graduate degree programs. All qualified candidates are expected to have experience using distance learning platforms, though experience with YHC’s primary systems, Moodle and Microsoft Teams, is not required.

Applicants should have multiple years of instructional experience, preferably at the graduate level, and at least five years of progressively responsible professional experience as a leader in an organizational setting, including formal supervisory responsibilities. To be considered qualified and receive consideration, an applicant must hold an earned doctorate in leadership, talent development, human resource management, organizational behavior, or another relevant discipline. The program coordinator will be based at the College’s new microsite in Fayetteville, Georgia, approximately 25 miles from downtown Atlanta. The program coordinator will lead the roll-out of the new degree in 2024, coordinating with other College offices to market the program and recruit its first cohort, and will teach courses in the program via in-person, synchronous, and asynchronous modalities. The Department of Business and Public Policy at Young Harris College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track, 12-month faculty member to serve as the program coordinator of the new Master of Science in Leadership and Supervision (MSLS), which has already been approved by the College’s institutional accreditor.
